Port Welshpool Long Jetty
The Port Welshpool Long Jetty is approximately 800 to 900 meters long. The jetty is wheelchair accessible and is made of concrete. It has fish cleaning tables and little fishing shelters all the way along. It is popular for fishing, especially for squid.
The jetty is curved in shape and runs parallel to the very deep Lewis Channel. It easy to walk, run wheel a wheel chair or a pram on.
The jetty underwent an $11.1 million rehabilitation and rebuilding project.
The jetty is located in Port Welshpool, adjacent to the Long Jetty Foreshore Caravan Park and the Port Welshpool Lawn Bowls Club.
Popularity: The jetty is popular with photographers and anglers, and families and is a significant tourism infrastructure in South Gippsland
There is a General Store in Port Welshpool that has amazing Burgers, Fish and Chips and other food options.
